Only one time in our Nation's history has an incumbent POTUS lost in the Primary.
Imagine the horror...

She has been amazingly quiet hasn't she? I don't watch TV anymore so that might be it. Which is exactly why he put in her as Sec of State - - to keep her the fuck away from him and his power base. If she's off galavanting around the world, she's not fucking with him. At first, I wondered why in the hell Obongo wouldn't put her in at VP for a straight fucking win with the female and minority vote... until I realized he's scared as fuck of her, and doesn't want to get Vince Foster'ed. Sad thing is even though I hate that vile cunt with all my being, I still would have preferred her to both Obongo and McCain. Sad, eh?

| There was a lot of talk a few months ago about how pissed Hillary has been, sidelined and overruled on foreign policy decisions. It's unlikely, but if Obama's numbers crater a bit more before 2012 it could happen. Watch the 2010 election, if Democrat incumbents lose in droves and blame Obama for it, watch out. |

I hate her but she couldn't be any worse that what we have. Be very careful what you wish for! What we have got is an ineffective minority leader whose policies tend to divide rather than unite, who nobody had ever heard of until several years ago, with absolutely no political savvy or experience and you want to trade that for a "Clinton!"
And while I'm at it: The Republicans win a crucial seat in Mass & we start hearing this "RINO crap!" People! a damn RINO is a damn sight better than a left wing democrap! That's what is wrong with the Republican Party. It's so easy to "divide & conquer!" Hessian-1

Why else to you think he gave a job where the only thing she can do is ramble off whatever the current obtuse administration plan is?
You really think he wanted her in the Senate trying every which way from Sunday to show how SHE should have been POTUS? He wanted her out of the country as much as possible. |

I'm always convinced that a guy's argument must be valid when he calls me "People!" I'm not sure if it's the condescending aspect of the word or the way that it's delivered as though the receiver is an infantile idiot. Of course, it could be the overarching self-importance of the speaker, too.

I expect it will go one of two ways:
1) She will stay as Secy of State for two years and resign. Then she will run in the primary with her new foreign policy experience. 2) The VP (whats his name?) will resign in his third year and Hillary will replace him. Again, she adds her excellent foreign policy failures to the ticket. Send me a dollar when one of these happens. |

I hate her but she couldn't be any worse that what we have. Wanna bet? Hillary Clinton renews call for gun licensing and registration
By Phil Hirschkorn/CNN May 9, 2000 NEW YORK (CNN) –– U.S. Senate candidate Hillary Rodham Clinton renewed her call for tougher gun control legislation on Tuesday before an audience of newspaper publishers. "We have to do more to stand up to those who refuse to believe the reality that guns do kill and that common-sense gun measures can make a difference," Mrs. Clinton said during a speech to the Newspaper Association of America's annual convention in New York. "I believe we need a comprehensive plan to stop gun violence, and it is one of the reasons I am running for the Senate," the first lady said. Mrs. Clinton, who is running for the seat of retiring Sen. Daniel Patrick Moynihan (D-New York), added that she supports proposals that would require the licensing and registering of all new handguns purchased in the United States. "The moms who are marching in Washington this Sunday have it right," she said, referring to the "Million Mom March" against gun violence scheduled for Mother's Day in the nation's capital. March participants are also calling on lawmakers to pass gun safety legislation that has languished in Congress since last summer. "We license drivers before they get behind the wheel to make sure they can drive safely. We register cars to make sure someone is responsible for every vehicle on the road. But we don't do the same for deadly weapons," she said. Mrs. Clinton plans to attend the march with a delegation from New York. If elected to the Senate, Mrs. Clinton said she'd work with Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-California) on her bill that would require prospective gun buyers to first obtain a gun license by passing a background check and a safety course exam. The bill would also establish a national registry to record all gun sales. Mrs. Clinton also announced her support for the creation of a "ballistic database" for all new guns, requiring gun makers or sellers to fire guns before sale and send that "ballistic fingerprint" to law enforcement. Mrs. Clinton suggested that the idea –– proposed earlier this year by New York Gov. George Pataki (R) and included in the government's landmark legal settlement with gun manufacturer Smith & Wesson –– should be implemented nationally. "What we would have is a national database of these images that law enforcement officers could use to quickly track down the origins of guns found at their crime scenes and the criminals who use them," Mrs. Clinton said. The first lady reiterated her support to require trigger locks on handguns, to hold adults responsible for their children's use of guns, to raise the youth handgun ban from age 18 to 21, to limit gun sales to one per month per adult and to have the Consumer Products Safety Commission regulate guns. "It doesn't make much sense that we regulate toy guns but not real guns," Mrs. Clinton said. |

If I was her, I would wait until after the 2010 election cycle. Then if the Dems lost a lot of seats, I would make a giant show of resigning in protest of the President's failed leadership when the country gave him a clear mandate in 2008. Long shot, but it could be done. |

Obama and Hillary can both drop dead right the fuck now; I don't
want to see either one of them anywhere NEAR the White House. If the Dems are smart, their next Presidential pick will be one of those so-called "Blue-Dog Democrats." Then again, if Democrats had any brains, they'd be Republicans, to quote Anne Coulter. |

Obama will easily win in 2012. There are no other viable candidates I seriously believe Obama will be on the VERY thin list of incumbent POTUSes that will NOT be able to run for a second term. As far as that goes, if he DOES run again, Alfred E. Newman would beat him. Hell, I could beat him. |

You really think he wanted her in the Senate trying every which way from Sunday to show how SHE should have been POTUS? He wanted her out of the country as much as possible. Was she a retard for accepting, then? What was her plan, if any? Not really. Being Sec. of State keeps her in the news, improves her foreign policy cred, and insulates her from the Dem's idiocy. I think she knew from the campaign and the election results, that Zero was going to push this at some point. She also knows how unliked it is (remember Hillarycare?). By her being out of the Senate, she was not faced with a choice of voting with the Dems for it, and damaging herself with the public, or voting against it, and having the base punish her later. Personally, it was a brilliant move. |
|
By the time she quits as SecState she'll have so much Obama shit smeared on her she'll be more unelectable than Condi was at the end of Bush's term. Hell, she's already seriously damaged goods to begin with having lost the primary to a con man who's only talent is reading from a teleprompter. She'll have a bad time separating herself from the Obama train of failure. Voters will want someone new, not that tired old hag. |
| Personally I think the Clinton era in the democratic party is over. The US changed a lot in 8 years due to 9/11. The Clintons didn`t. They no longer have the minority vote sewn up. Look what happened in the primaries in the south especially. Plus Hillary the "Co-President" will be saddled with Slick`s failures in anti-terrorism. As for Obama, I think his own party is very disillusioned with him right now and divided because of him. The hard left, the moderates, and minorities are all in their little camps. They make the Republicans look like the model of solidarity. If Obama doesn` get nominated for a second term, I see the black vote sitting out the 2012 election. I think the hard left wingers will sit out 2012 as well in protest he didn`t do enough. If that happens, 2012 would make the midterms look like a shaving cut in terms of the losses the dems will take. |
