The Supreme Court turned away a challenge today to the federal do-not-call registry, ending telemarketers' bid to invoke free-speech arguments to get the popular ban on unwanted phone solicitations thrown out.

I looks like the Court refused to grantcertiorari, meaning they will not actually hear the case, and the lower court ruling will stand without review.

It takes at 4 Justices to grant cert, so at least 6 Justices agreed tacitly with the lower court's ruling.
