This is a conversation I have had with Bernard Haggarty. Just to let some of you Washington fellers know. (Read from the bottom up)

Now, me assumption is that you are intelligent enough to read U.S. Code, but I have been proven wrong.

You read-
Section 921 (a) (4), Title 18 U.S.C.

I asked you to read-
Section 921 (a) (30), Title 18 U.S.C.

I DO NOT support the sale of firearms to minors.

I DO support the transfer of Destructive Devices to properly licensed Adults.

So now you have added insult to your wording. I defer to my last reply, in that you have proven to be lazy and careless. NOT the type of Elected Official I want representing me.

So I ask my original question again, do you support Section 921 (a) (30), Title 18 U.S.C.?
Are you aware that this law was passed in the attempt to reduce crime? Are you aware if this law has reduced crime in any way? If so, could you please state sources. If it hasn't done anything to reduce crime, why would you allow it to continue being a part of the law?

I do expect a reply to this email.

Thank you,
(me)

I looked up your statute today; it is a section in the code that defines things like "person" "firearm" and "destructive device."  It appears at the start of a statute that requires a license to sell guns and prohibits the sale of of guns to children.  I am for regulations like this.  I assume you are against them.  Please feel welcome to publicize my position.  I don't want anyone to vote for me based on inaccurate information.  Bern Haggerty.

Mr. Haggarty,

Thank you for your time. But due to your lazy, short-sighted, and selfish
views, you have lost yet another vote. I truly hope there are enough other
voters like me that are aware of your inability to trust your own
constituents, and likewise vote for a candidate that has the best interests
of the voters in consideration.

Sincerely,
(Me)

I believe in reasonable regulation of guns to promote safety and prevent
violent crime. I recently completed the survey for Gun Owners of America;
you can contact them for my detailed responses. I believe I will vote to
reauthorize the provision you are citing, although I don't have time to look
it up right now. Thanks. Bern Haggerty.

Please explain to me your stance with Gun Laws on the Federal Level.

Most importantly your views on "Violent Crime Control and Law Enforcement
Act of 1994" which is designated Section 921 (a) (30), Title 18 U.S.C.

In 2004 there will most likely be another vote on whether to extend this
Act, or to let it "Sunset". I would like to know how you intend to vote on
this matter.

Thank you,

Yeah, well my first message was VERY polite, and he blew me off by saying "I don't have the time".

So fuck him, I will be rude.

Yea, I dont blame you, it looks like he just read the header of the wrong code and didnt want to really go into the law, screw him. Its time gun owners show disgust!
