Im sorry if I sound like an idiot on this subject. Since Ive noticed these cookies, it seems like my system as been running very slow on or off line. Cookies are more of a little data file or repository and would not normally affect how fast your machine runs. The space they take up should be negligible. When I'm cleaning a problem off of a machine, I don't worry about the cookies...I think you should look elsewhere for the problem. Try using SpyBot-Search & Destroy and Ad-Aware...they will check your machine for spyware/malware as well as removing the cookies for you if you want. If I have a machine gummed up with something, I usually have to alternate running them a few times until the machine comes up clean. www.spybot.com www.lavasoft.com for ad-aware If you have a hardcore virus, you can download a 30 day trial of eset nod32 which is what I tend to run these days. |
