AAARRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGG!!

I cannot figure this out and I need help.  I have done conversions a million times, but this is like I'm cross eyed and I just cannot get it.

Problem:
Ground water recharge for 1988 was 5.25 inches.

The island has an area of 167.5 square miles.  What is the volume of groundwater recharge in acre/feet?

(Acre/foot = 43,560 cubic feet)

I don't need the answer as much as I need the conversion steps spelled out.

Convert each of your initial measurements to feet. Then multiply them. Then convert that to acre-feet.
