We were notified Wednesday that our health insurance provider is raising our premiums $3,000/ year because of the new government 85/15 regulation.

We aren't sure if the city is going to eat the cost or pass it on to us, or maybe a combination of the 2.

Even so, no raises again. I do still have a job though, so I can't complain too much.

Anyone else?

Have not heard from our employer yet.  We have BCBS and I pay around $13 for just myself.  I do know for a fact my employer hates the current presidency.

Haven't heard from my employer yet. Right now they pay 100% of health insurance costs for single folks such as myself. For married folks the department pays 80% of costs.

we are going from 1% to 2% of base pay for our out of pocket premium 7/1 (from 620 to 1240 a year for family of four). Still isnt too bad comoared to some of the other depts around here. I fully expect that once obamacare gets up and running that the city will drop ins completely and force us into the exchange, so much for "If you have insurance and like it you do not have to change" LMAO

We pay 80/20 split. When I came back from overseas I didn't put the wife and kids back on my BC/BS, and I think I'm paying about $70 every two weeks. I think thats a bit high

Just got hit with an increase of $300/month, which puts me over the $800/month that my dept allocates to each employee for health insurance.  So now I must pay $200/month out of pocket for me and the Wife Unit.  They did say they would be shopping around, but started late so we get stuck with the bill for now.

I, too, fully expect my dept to kick us to the curb insurance-wise once Obamacare kicks in.  That way we can afford more laptops, new cell phones, command vehicles, and many other tools that don't fight fire.
