I predict that we will see more age stated and barrel proof products coming. A good sign of that is the Sazerac "Full Proof" rye that just dropped. When down in Seattle visiting family over the holidays had the single best score in a long time. Bottle of Stag and Weller 107 antique. Having had a few bottles of Stag it was typical very good. I was truly surprised at Weller 107 though (first time). May have to put that on the always keep an eye open for it. Funny thing they were in a grocery store just sitting there. Was just off the airplane, pulled over in Gig Harbor Fred Meyers for a few snacks because airport food is well. Side note Washington State your sin tax on alcohol is freaking insane. I don't know if it has popped or not but I am seeing things on the shelf now. |
