Is anyone using Google Voice? Do you have a spare invite?

GV is the new service that gives you one phone number for all your communication needs plus
a long list of other features. It sounds quite cool and I look forward to trying it out.

I went to the Google Voice web site and requested an invite, they sent me one a couple days later. I haven't tried it yet.

This is the company that stores and logs everything and is building up to be one of the biggest privacy rights lawsuits ever in a suit against them.........

People want to now trust them with their voices and probably voice mails to be watched as well?

I have it but don't see anything about sending out invites.

The #'s suck for my area, but I did get one with 'AR15' in it.

How many invites do you get? The web site is closed for new accounts.

I have been using it combined with Gizmo5 and my iPhone.  Allows me to call out for free which saves minutes

on the cell. The single number to multiple phones seems like a good idea, but haven't used it much.

I think its more useful if you actually have a land line, but you still have to go to the website

in order to make a free call outbound.

The less one has to do with Google, the better.

They are socialists at heart, and Obongo's #1 supporter.

I agree and while it is debatable how much better this choice is, I have switched to Bing/Microsoft altogether.
