It has been a few years since i hit the old weights. Yesterday I did a full upper body workout and today I did legs. Holy crap, I forgot about the day after pain. My arms feel like lead weights and hurt like hell. Her I have been spoiled for the last couple weeks with no pain anywhere, and now I am putting myself through this. At least this pain is for the better, not keeping me crippled up like my back was. |

Good on ya for putting in the work but i suggest taking a day of rest between workouts. If you're hitting the weights that hard and do it every day you're going to run your tank to empty in very rapid fashion. The central nervous system much like muscle fiber gets taxed pretty hard when lifting with any kind of intensity. It will adapt and call on it's reserves to keep you going for some time but eventually it will run out of options and shut down. The body will also focus on repairing the CNS before muscle fiber because well it's a vital system. If you don't give the cns time to recover the body won't even attempt to rebuild those muscle fibers. Not trying to kill the buzz just offering something to keep in mind. A lot of lifters get excited about hitting the weights and do it everyday. Eventually they begin to feel like they been hit by a truck and learn to hate it and give up. A little rest goes a long way. |
