Just went wacko on amazon.om & ordered the following books:

Report from Engine Co. 82, 3000 Degrees: The True Story of a Deadly Fire and the Men Who Fought It, The Greatest Firefighter Stories Never Told, Firefighters: Their Lives in Their Own Words, The Last Men Out: Life on the Edge at Rescue 2 Firehouse, First In, Last Out: Leadership Lessons from the New York Fire Department, Working Fire: The Making of an Accidental Fireman.

Anybody ever read any of them & what did you think?

I have read "Report from Engine Co. 82" several times.  Its a good book about "old school" firefighting.  Another goood one is "Firehouse" by David Halberstam, It about the lives of the guys at 40/35, it's a great book.
