what is you go to watch brand in the price range of $0-$200.00
I have a few watches in the $400-$500 dollar range but have never put the money aside for some of the pricier watches. I love guns, knives, flashlights, and watches... but I hate damaging a watch I hate that I do it all the time... so what is your favorite brand of affordable watch... if all you will wear is a $1000+ watch and want to look down your nose at us filthy peasants....please stay out of this thread. pictures are welcome. |

I bought a cheap Vostok auto for $60. It gains about 5 sec/day but I don't need my watches to be super precise. We'll see how she holds up Pic is not mine but I have the same one on a nato strap. http://i149.photobucket.com/albums/s64/abunce1016/zulu011.jpg Tougher than a angry ruski bear. Could also be argued that the Vostok amphibia is one of the best watches made for handling water pressure. |

Quoted: Seiko in that price range, the Monster in particular. This. I have the predecessor to the 007 that's 20+ years old. Used, abused, serviced a couple of times and it still runs great. For a bit more I like the Sumo. I've also abused a couple of the 5 Sports watches. They've also held up well. -J |

I'm a big fan of the citizen eco drive line. I also have some Invictas. Lum Tec had a black Friday sale that I missed due to spending too much elsewhere. I have a couple of eco drive that I have to replace the battery/capacitor on...but they are too nice for daily wear in a harsh environment... |

What are you going to be using it for? Office wear, something to beat the shit out of at the range, what? I work in an Armory/shop and at a .gov range so it needs to be able to stand up to some use and abuse. I wish people made a watch with crystal guards or something...

If not a G-Shock, find something with a quartz movement, Citizen, Seiko, something like that would work. Most companies recommend that you don't even play golf with an automatic watch on, much less shoot guns, or engage in any other activity with a lot of shock. Personally I'd pass on a Suunto as well. |
