Got a GoPro Hero 5 Session

I downloaded GoPro Capture  to my Galaxy Note 5.

Bluetooth paired them together.

But the GoPro doesn't seem to want to connect to the app on the phone so I can control it or view any video.

My understanding is that I can live view or even stream from the GoPro to my phone then out to the web.

Along with control the GoPro with the app from my phone via Bluetooth.

Help me Obi-Wan Kanobi

I have the hero 4 session. Sometimes you have to turn on the phone app first then turn on the session and connect the Bluetooth at that point. And you're correct you can live view you on your phone as that is the only viewfinder you have with that model that allows you to see and position the camera to picture what you want.

On my GoPro 3+ it emits a wifi  signal that I have to connect to on my phone.

Correction the previous poster was correct. It connects through Wi-Fi.

The app has my GoPro ID'ed (shows the camera #) but keeps asking if wireless is on and to go into the camera settings to turn on connections.

I did and I can now control the camera and its settings via my phone.

My next question. Can I live stream from my GoPro to my phone?

For example. Could I set up the GoPro on my helmet and live stream my MX race via youtube or on some other site?

If you figure it out, let me know. I spent probably 30 mins one day trying to figure it out; downloads, updates, etc etc. The next week, same problem. I almost throw it on the pavement.

Probably have it do this on purpose so you will buy their $75 remote.

A few base jumpers have live-streamed their deaths, so I'm going to go with 'yes'.

It's though wifi not Bluetooth.

Activate the connections in the camera and search with wifi on your phone, and the camera ID# will show up as a network.

The camera will display a password that you put into the wifi security code (password) field and it should be GtG.

I keep trying it with Bluetooth. That's not how you do it.

Who makes the Picatinny mount for the camera?
