Just started reading "Enemies Foreign and Domestic" by Matt Bracken.  I'm only on page 50 out of 560 or so pages and it is scaring the shit out of me!

Patriots: Surviving the Coming Collapse is a much better book.

I've read Enemies Foreign and Domestic twice, Patriots-Surviving-Collapse 3 times, but by far the best of the best of these types is Unintended Consequences.

But you may also like Domestic Enemies: The Reconquista if you like Matt Bracken' style.

Well, A and B.

The books I have to read from time to time don't necessarily scare me, but I do find myself invoking my detachment to get thru the book. Scare is not quite the word but there is something there when reading about someone's enemy who drastically upped the anti in the operation described.

B: the books I need aren't always in the local bookstore, so I have to order them myself. Looked on Amazon, there were a number of copies in two different places. One was at 3 times the cover price, forget that. The other was at a little below the normal price but at a somewhat radical sounding bookseller. Decided that I didn't want any of my name associated with them and ordered at full price directly from the publisher.

I ordered both of Bracken's books together.  It is there on my bookshelf waiting for me to finish the first one.

Unintended consequences is also on my list.  I'm really not much of a reader but doing my best to catch up.

I might also pick up that Patriot book too.
