Since that commie shitass Obama is leading in the polls I decided to start stocking up on may be banned products one of these days.

I went to the gunshow in Orlando and picked up a couple of Armalite stripped receivers.

Everytime I go to the gunshow between now and the time the asshole starts his assault weapons bullshit I will pick up one or two receivers and maybe some more magazines.

Why not buy lowers with half the money, and give the other half to McCain/Palin, to help prevent the very thing you are preparing for?

I don't mind the question at all.  I just don't feel the need to explain my political decisions to a foreigner.

However, the answer to your question that I would give to an American citizen is that I am not voting for McCain so therefore I do not feel the need to give his campaign money.  I have recently given money to the Constitution Party.  I have enough money to contribute to the Constitution Party and buy Armalite lowers but thank you for asking.

McCain is too Liberal for me.  He may be the right choice if the only issue is gun rights but he has it wrong on too many more issues to get my vote.

"He ain't Obama" to me is not enough justification to vote for McCain.   The lesser of two evils is still evil.

The Ex Post Facto clause in the CftUS will require grandfathering of previously owned firearms. That is the reason that the grandfather provision was included in the last AWB.

I'm not aware of a SINGLE prosecution of a violation of the AWB that was not an add-on charge for another offense.

In the grand tradition of America, I turn to civil disobedience.  I will not comply with further infringements upon my god-given right to keep and bear arms.  I will work within the system to get existing laws repealed where possible.

I urge each and every one of you to do the same.

The same thing people did from the beginning of time until about 100 years ago....make them ourselves.  Remember that thread that showed pictures of pistols and machineguns from some European or Asian country made from scrap metal?

That's what kills me about America today.  If we stopped all importation of everything very few people would even know how to sew a shirt much less a shovel.  The only thing most young Americans understand these days is that a ding means the fries are done.  Most of them will never even have the chance to work in a factory and learn a real skill because the factories are all overseas now.

A valid point. However, buying a receiver for $100 now is still much cheaper and much more legal than hogging out your own on a mill if a ban passes.

Its not Ex Post Facto if they give you a chance to legally turn them in.  The grandfather clause was in the last AWB because the dems would not have enough support to pass without it. Same would probably hold true in a future AWB except possibly for registration and inability to transfer.

I'm just saying, threaded barrels were illegal from 1994 to 2004.  Tap and dies were never illegal during that period.  It is easy as fuck to thread a barrel.  If push come to shove people would do what they had to even if they had to make stuff themselves.

I'll buy what I want as I can afford it, and if its not available on the market, I'll make what I can and trade for what I can't.  If I'm called for jury duty, I'll do discharge my civic duty and refuse to convict any individual on the basis of a non-violent crime that breaks an unconstitutional law.

Also, there's no way in hell I'm shooting a suppressed rifle were the barrel was threaded at home with a hardware store tap and die set.

Please.  There was a militia guy in Fayetteville, AR that had a bunch of FA stuff, and flaunted it for like 15 years before someone finally arrested him.  He WANTED to be caught.  Google "Militia of Washington County"

Note that while I support these guys' idea, I will not be associated with them.  This has not turned out well for people historicly :(
