Asking for a friend as these threads tend to go sideways  anyways he has a new microtech stitch from a one of the top 2 largest authorized dealers, paid full price of $450 but on the blade it is dated 07/2023. Shouldn't my buddy expect a new model instead of one that was in a box for years and the dealer said don't worry about it.

The Microtech Stitch had issues with the lock face which was discovered when people gave it a spine wack test. The blade lock would sometimes fail. Microtech revised the lock in April of 2024 to correct this. I would be concerned about that especially if paying full price for “new old stock”. Edit: If it’s an auto,it’s good to go. This only applies to the Ram Lok. |
