I recently purchased this generator, which has a 9 gallon gas tank. The specs state that the generator will run 10 hours at 1/2 load on those 9 gallons of gas.
My question for those of you familiar with generators is will this generator run longer than the stated 10 hours at, say, 30% load? Any other insight would be welcome. Thanks lads. |

You should look at converting your unit to a tri-fuel generator. This is where I got mine.

| I've got two and can tell you that running out of gas when it's real cold or hot REALLY sucks. You can put a T in the gas line, buy some gasoline rated line and a 5 gallon plastic gas can and make your own add-on gas tank. When the generator gas tank runs empty, it will automatically begin drawing on the 5 additional gallons. My next generator will be a propane Generac. |
