Guy at work had a Honda EM6500SX generator and needed some money. Well, it was a bigger generator than I need but what the heck. Runs great, starts first pull, runs the A/C on the travel trailer, and even runs my 110 MIG welder.
He sold it to me for $250.00. Should I feel bad? |

Nice score, OP!
I have a Kawasaki 4.5kw jobsite generator with electric start, 110/220v/12v outputs. My old neighbor couldn't get it running, and when he finally gave up, he gave it to me. He couldn't get the air filter off because the frame was bent in by it. I dragged it across the street, used my porta-power to bend the frame out, cleaned out the carb, and had it running in under an hour. He heard it start up, looks over, I give him a wave and thanked him again. |

So you bought a hot generator? It gets pretty hot when you use it in 100 degree weather. No the guy bought it new several years ago. He needed the money. I offered more because he is a friend but he wouldn't take it. Maybe because I work on his lawn equipment and such and don't charge him anything. |
