Hey guys, just today I received word on my Form 1 I submitted back in July. I was SO excited then I open the email up and s big letters it says DISAPPROVED. What!?!?!
I followed all of the guide lines strictly, I didn't misspell anything, I made sure copies of my declaration of trust, photos of my firearm were up... This is an Electronic Form 1 so is there any way that I could correct a mistake made on the form and have them take a look at it? Is there any way that I can have them continue without having to resubmit my forms and pay another $200? If my form really was denied is there any way to get my $200 back, money is tight for a college student at the end of the semester and I was hoping that around this time I would be able to just buy a stock and complete my build. Please guys, what can I do!? P.S. the ATF E forms site appears to be down, which is why I did not mention any more specifics, I am unable to assertion why they have denied me. |

I would ask in our NFA specific forum here.
There is a reason for the denial listed somewhere on the form I believe so do you know what it was? |

With eForms there is no way to correct a mistake on the applications. It gets denied and you have to do-over. You should have been given a reason it was denied. This. The form should say why. I had an SBR on an 80% lower disapproved because I didn't include a description. Essentially, they had no idea what sort of rifle I was making an SBR because it didn't start out as an AR lower. I made it. I had to resubmit a new form 1 (with pictures and description of the completed lower) and pay the $200 again. I then emailed Ted Clutter (search for his email address) with the disapproved form information and the information for the newly submitted form. It was approved in less than 24 hours. ETA: I received a refund back to my CC for the first F1 in about a week. |

An agent actually called me. I emailed him back correct info and mine continued along the path. He caught it just as the app went pending, so maybe that's why. 6 months ago or so. |
