So I have a '16 Alfa 4C with about 4500 miles on it. I like it a lot and was my mid life crisis car a little over a year ago.
Now the bastards have come out with the Giulia Quadrifoglio and I am once again in lust. Attached File It's faster than my 4C with 0-60 in 3.6 vs 4.1 It's got four doors and I can put my two kids in the back and get much more use out of it. It's got awesome reviews, was called "perfect" by the guys at Car and Driver and recently beat out the AMG C63S, ATS-V and M3. I can't stop reading about it, watching videos and now the damn commercials. The cons are that it's just not as cool and sexy as the 4C and probably will not be as limited production as the 4C (about 1300 in North America) I have a two car garage and live in the snow belt. Wife's car in one bay and the 4C in the other so my 4WD SUV daily driver is in the driveway. I could financially keep the 4C but not garage space for both. I can't get rid of the SUV because I need 4WD and wife is not willing to give up her car. Damn I want that car though What should I do? |

Keep the 4C and keep lusting after the Giulia Quadrifoglia.....Yes the Giulia is amazing and faster than your 4C....however the 4C has much more sex appeal that the G.....bottom line the G is a 4 door car that the majority of society is going to look at as a family truckster....the 4c.....even non car people will look at it and think....Damn that's Italian...I've never seen one of those before...
The G is way cool and I would own either (or both) but the G still looks a lot like a Tesla (which is still cool but not near as exotic as the 4C) I prefer the slower 4C for those reasons.... or do what I did and build a bigger garage and collect them all! |

You didn't mention if you drove the four door yet. I was in a similar situation. I was having my A6 S Line serviced and walked next door to finally test drive the Cayman S I'd been lusting over. What a let down. The final blow was when the sales dude told me my golf clubs would fit up front  . Besides, I would've been in deep shit if I drove home in a two seater. (I fixed that problem by dropping down 11 model years) I'd sit on what you have if you love it. Let it marinate and let everyone tell you' "I never should've sold mine'. Test drive the other to get it out of your system. Or, get both.

I have not driven one yet though I did go sit in one and finger bang it. The dealer offered but I was afraid it would be a very bad idea.
I may go drive it but it may have the opposite effect on me than the one I want. Maybe I'll hold out for a Stelvio in a bit when they come out. I just can't stop reading about and watching videos of that car.

Thanks for defending me there but I am blessed to have a good income as does my wife and happen to have a decent head on my shoulders.
I happen to be in a nice financial place through hard work, education and luck. It is not a matter of financially being able to afford it while not interfering with retirement or kids educations or whatever. I was raised poor and tend to be frugal about many things but also believe in rewarding hard work. Well that and also with my gene pool I probably won't live to retirement anyway. My dad told me before he passed away that I would make my wife a wealthy widow one day and I want to prove him wrong

OP, someone already said add on to the garage. Do that first and find THE car to have its own space.
You could also do a free standing 1 car building. When we built ours we made it waaaay bigger than we needed so I could put my gym shit out there. Made a deal with my cousin that we're buying corvettes when we turn 40, so there will be room. |

Adding on to the garage isn't an option due to our house and lot and neither is a free standing garage.
As cool as the CTS-V is in concept I'm not ever buying a GM and certainly not paying over $10K more for one. And same 0-60 time so not sure what I would be gaining in the CTS-V over the Giulia anyway. Edit: now that I research it more the CTS-V seems like a horrible idea. Slower 0-60, quarter mile and worse gas mileage, more expensive and all while owning a GM that looks like your car made tender love with a transformer. Tell me how that's winning again? |

Since out of 4 car's worth of space we have now, only one vehicle gets to park inside thanks to our detached garage being used as storage space by members of the wife's family  and my space in the attached garage being used to park the ATV/snowplow indoors.

It's a stripped down bare bones lightweight. It's noisy but it's all good noise of a high boost motor right behind your head. Carbon tub makes it loud especially with no sound deadening but like I said, if you're a car guy it's all good noises. Some of the components feel kind of cheap like the heat controls and probably sourced from something else. Normally I would say so what in this kind of car but the rest of the interior actually has a much better feel and finish to it that it seems out of place. The carbon fiber is beautiful. Some have had soft paint issues but seems to be mostly on the red cars. Mine has an Expel ultimate wrap on the entire front, rockers, front of the roof and no stone chip issues. I was scared with Alfa's reputation and this being their first car back in the states but for what it is it's a bargain and gets 27MPG while being driven enthusiastically. Comes with a 4/50K bumper to bumper and remember they are built at the Maserati factory. Once again not the best reputation for reliability but they do have nice fit and finish. |

Some people just aren't capable of understanding that people can have some disposable income. Probably the same guys with ammo castles
Lease the Giulia, keep the 4c. Dead sexy cars, both. I'm loving the Giulia, too. My Audi would have to go to make room, but for some damn reason I'm in love with that car. Post pics!! |

We have a hunting property with 60 acres with a trailer, carport and small shed but it's about an hour away so not building a primary home there. In the fall I found an awesome deal on a forclosure about 15 minutes away. 3100 sq ft with a 3 car garage, 17 acres with a creek and a pond. We were the winning bid on a Friday and wife was all about it and then Monday morning she had buyers remorse and I had to back out. I'm still pissed and would love to have that house.

Excavate under yur house For a larger car room.
--- to a small extent, I feel your pain. I refuse to Dd to my car collection until they can be properly stored. That said, the couple on my short list are older non-classics. I want a GMC RV (made in 70's) and an Excursion. My skid steer is already outside so my second boat can remain covered. Saw a version of my first boat, more finished out. Both my boats are still in being rigged, not quite the way I want them yet. So eventually will be building a new home just to have more garage space. |
