| My cousin is fixing to start driving soon. His dad let him drive his ford diesel and he's really into fourwheel drive diesels. He needs some tips for a first vehicle. Can you help him out? |
used Ford P-71 Crown Vic. I hate Ford, but those things are indestructible. go to usedcopcars.com. |
patrol cars get beat to shit something cheap that will get destroyed |

My first car was a Mercury Zephyr. My mom passed it down to me as my christmas gift from the whole family (To include grandparents) The free part was good, though My serious advice would be somthing he, or a parent can pay stright cash for. We can't have everything we want all the time |
Do your homework on the particular model you want to buy, and if it's a patrol supervisor's car it might be a good bet. snipAR_15, you might want to IM Taxman, he had a P-71 Vic for a first car IIRC. |

rember if he gets a fast car hes goina think he is the best driver to lay hands on a wheel every kid is a perfect driver with the parents but becomes an irresponsible schmuck on his own or with friends. buy the vehicle that you see fit. I drove one of our old trucks till i worked up enough money to buy my own and pay my insurance ans gas. my little brother is still driving daddys jeep calling it his and only paying gas. hit a tree 2 years ago and still hasn't fixed the damage |
Yup, I was a real sweetie until my parents were out of sight. Let the tire burning and gear chirping begin... Strangely, I haven't done either since I started paying for my own vehicles many years ago. |

Let's see... 1. High center of gravity...check. 2. Narrow wheel stance...check. 3. Soft top (roll bar optional)...check. 4. Marginal emergency handling...check. 5. Marginal braking...check. 6. Marginal passing acceleration...check. 7. Exposed fuel tank...check. Oh yea, this is a safe first vehicle for a kid.
