In an effort to help our fellow ARFcommers can we compile a list of questions or conversation starters that can be used on first dates?
A couple to get the thread started: If you could have any superpower what would it be and why?
If you could live forever but could never love, would you do it?
Before somebody else suggests these, let's get them out of the way: Beans/no beans?

Questions I have actually asked, and have taken the answers seriously...
1) Are your parents still together? If not, was it because of divorce? 2) Any alcoholics in your family? Drug addicts? 3) How many tattoos do you have? 4) How about that Bush guy? 5) Would you rather vacation in Europe, or in the USA? 6) Would you rather live in a really busy city, or in the country? ...and those were the EASY questions to ask. The harder questions require skill. It's hard to dance around a question such as "Were you ever molested by a family member?"

Are you serious with this nonsense? Are you going on a date with an actual woman or teaching an 8th grade philosophy class? Ditch the canned questions. Be yourself. Tell her all about your 316 confirmed sniper kills and your time on the two-man knife teams. |

Serious questions...
Why do you think you are single? What do you think about kids? Ever see yourself as a mom? What is important to you? Friends, family, how people perceive you, money? Are you religious? If not why? Edit: I hate dating and now back in the game...hate hate hate it. |
