[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Finding a specific gravesite?

Hey all. I was curious how one would go about finding a specific person's grave if you only know what City they live in?

I'm planning a trip to Arlington to see two friends, and the third is buried in Salt Lake City. Arlington I can figure out....Not so sure about Salt Lake. I am not close to his family and hate to bring up things they may have moved past. Any advice?

Just ask his family, they should be honored that you want to visit and pay your respect.

Since others my be interested, for looking up relatives or friends or celebrities, according to Ma Danby, my resident chilluns and reference librarian, who also likes to visit old cemeteries and such we find on road trips,
