What time of the day do they usually deliver packages to residential areas?  I get most of my online purchases delivered by UPS and the normally deliver between 3pm-6pm.  Is Fedex the same?  Thanks.

I don't know if there is a set time.  My experience indicates they typically deliver in the afternoon but there are times when I have received packages before noon.

Pro tip: Do you have a Fedex store nearby?  You can have most deliveries redirected to a Fedex store after it has been shipped.  There is a Fedex store (they also do printing & copying)  near me that is open 24 hours so I often redirect packages to it.  I had my ammo from the CMP go there since nobody would be home to sign for it.

FedEx Express and FedEx Ground are completely separate and run different trucks.  In addition, delivery times will vary by area.

We do have a Fedex store here in town. I might have to try and pick it up at the store since my wife is going out to lunch with her friends and the kids wanted me to take them to the range.

If its out for delivery on the truck, you won't be able to pick it up at the FEDEX store today.

In my neighborhood, Fedex comes consistently between 9 and 10AM, and UPS is between 1 and 3pm.

Go to the website.  Track your package.  It usually has a date and a time writen on it for an estimated deliver.  For me it usually say no later than 3pm.  I've found that when it says that, I get that package right around 2pm.  I've also had it say no later than noon and in that case I got the package at 9am.  Either way, if you miss the delivery, you can usually pick it up at your local FedEX on the same night.

All of this greatly varries depending upon where you live.

It depends on what time they get to your area. Also you can't pick up a package at the FedEx store, you have the go to the terminal to pick up anything.

Common sense would tell you that this obviously depends on your specific location. So depending on where along the drivers route you are it can be anytime within normal business hours.

That totally depends on whether the driver is running late and decides just to say you weren't home so that he can go home

Where I live it seems to change over time. I used to get UPS packages around 8pm, but now a days I get Fedex and UPS around 12-3pm.

My UPS guy comes around 10-10:30.

The FedEx guy is anytime between 9am and 9pm.

My FedEx idiot has a uncanny ability to deliver packages that need signed for, when I'm either in the shower or on the can.

Can you elaborate?  I have used the "hold at Fedex location" feature numerous times to have packages redirected from home delivery to a local Fedex Office store.

Lol..well my bone sack of a delivery guy missed his chance, I took a shower and a dump this morning.

The package today coming Home Delivery, which I found out from a FedEx Ground driver, is just short of being mentally handicapped.

My apologies if you are a Home Delivery driver..

Fed Ex intercepted me outside the Post Office (11:20 A.M.) and gave me my package on the street.  That's service.

Some workers are independent contractors and don't have specific set times.

I recently had a package delivered at 10:30 pm.

I decided to check the tracking status before bed that night to see what the reason given that it wasn't delivered.  It said it was left at the door at 10:30pm.  Sure enough it was out there.

I'm a ground driver, what you heard about HD is 100% true.
HD can take them to certain fedex offices but 99% of the time you have to go the the facility if it's ground.
Express is completely differant altogether, we're not even in the same buildings.
