Okay, to follow in the footsteps of the recent thread on the very best sci-fi novel of all time, I hereby initiate the question of what is the best fantasy fiction? I nominate the Belgariad series as my all-time favorite. A close second runs the Shanarra series. And in third place is the Lord of the Rings series, complete with The Hobbit. Stand alone novels are open for consideration as well. Your choices? |
