| Are there Colt rifles or lowers out there being sold that aren't made by Colt? If so, what models are they? Are the expanse models fake? |

Colt has licensed an "assembler" to assemble Colt "custom AR15's.

As far as the Colt Expanse, I have read that Anderson made one model of it in 2013 under contract with Colt using Colt/Anderson parts. I have also read that the markings on that model of the Colt Expanse looked like Anderson markings (the way the marking is). What I have read about the new Colt Expanse guns is that they are made with Colt parts assembled by the same guys in Breckenridge, Texas. When you buy the Colt Expanse (CE1000) you don't get (again, from what I have read) a chrome lined barrel, a dust cover, a forward assist, a rear sight, a carry handle and the plastic parts look "different".
