My father was having issues; I recommend her see his doc and get this drug. He is very happy with it. Very few side effects and really does solve the problem. It works (mostly) directly on the muscles around the bladder neck, relaxing them. Take at night if you have dizzy spells. Take in the morning if you don't. If you ingest a lot of stimulants, don't. Are you on other meds? |

My urologist gave me a sample after my last bout with kidney stones.
I read the side effects up to "reverse ejaculation", and tossed the box. It might be a godsend for some, but any possibility for "reverse ejaculation" has me hightailing it in the opposite direction. |

I got some years ago for a condition caused by the ex. Stress related prostate problems. Never read the box before. Felt like I shot a large marble out my dick when I came. Makes you afraid to have sex. Shitcanned it quick fast and in a hurry along with her. Problem gone. |

Quoted: How in the polka-dotted fuck , would a man ejaculate in reverse ?? In the human male reproductive system, retrograde ejaculation occurs when semen, which would normally be ejaculated via the urethra, is redirected to the urinary bladder. Normally, the sphincter of the bladder contracts before ejaculation forcing the semen to exit via the urethra, the path of least pressure. When the bladder sphincter does not function properly, retrograde ejaculation may occur. |

I've been having problems lately where my bladder decides to squeeze itself down to the size of a golf ball at night. Since I don't wake up for ANYTHING until I've gotten 8 hours, my kidneys are screaming when I do. (Last month, I think the left one sustained some interior damage; it was hurting for a week.)
Is that what this "Flomax" is supposed to fix? |
Every time they run a commercial, I find the need to announce the name of the drug loudly for a while. It just sounds so fucking awesome.
FLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMAAAAAAXXXX!!!!!! But hey, there's a bunch of guys on a gun board talking about piss drugs. Mission accomplished. Taboo overridden. If we get into Fiber One bars though, we may be on thin ice. |

I have been on it since this past January. For the first couple weeks I had to be careful and get up slow or the dizziness and lightheaded was terrible. I have noticed I seem real jittery since I have been on it, either that or its just the problems of life lately and I am blaming the med, either way I see the urologist in May and will discuss it with him. ETA: the below post and I have a runny/drippy nose several times throughout the day since starting it. |

I couldn't get used to the idea of taking heart medication no matter what the dosage was for urinary problems. There's no such things as "Heart Medication" Flomax or Tamsulosin is an alpha-1a subtype receptor antagonist. Simply put that means it blocks the Sympathetic (Fight or Flight) receptors in certain places. They thought that if you took it orally you could block the alpha-1a's in the heart and have good results, but instead they noticed that it did a good job of blocking the alpha-1a's in the prostate, so that's mostly what it is used for. Look up Clonidine. That's an Alpha-2 Agonist, and it is used for just about everything. |

"reverse ejaculation" Come again? I think he's been catching instead of pitching. Easy there... Seriously though, the possibility of reverse ("retrograde", whatever) ejaculation was a deal breaker for me. I'd rather suffer with the stones - not to mention that mine don't get caught at the bladder sphincter, they get stuck at the ureter/bladder junction. |

| Im 21 and ive been taking it for probably 3 years now. I used to get up 5-6 times a night to piss and go about once every hour during the day. Now its not near as bad. As to the retrograde ejaculation.. personally it doesnt bother me. No sticky annoying messes anymore.... convienent. For both myself and my girlfriend. If i skip a dose im back to normal ejaculation. |

From MY prospective I HATE patients on Flomax. it has a side effect of preventing the dilator muscle of the iris from working. This effect is permanent. Sounds like no big deal until you have to do cataract surgery on someone on Flomax,. Before a Dr.Chang figured it out we were having patients with lots of complications due to Flomax. Now, at least if we know ahead of time there are medications and surgical instruments that will help prevent the pupil from constricting during surgery.
Note the commercial where they say really fast 'If contemplating cataract surgery tell you doctor" |

If you truely need the medicine take it, we will get your cataract out when the time comes. It was a big nightmare before we knew what was going on, now we have ways to help , it still is a PITA but not as bad.
look up 'Floppy Iris Syndrome' if you are interested. |
