I am a right handed shooter and would generally consider myself right eye dominant.

However, sometimes when focusing on things my eye dominance seems to shift back and forth with my right eye.

I can easily do this consciously. It only becomes a problem when I am not thinking about it and it happens subconsciously.

I am also ambidextrous between my left and right hand.

Does any one else have a similar issue?

I have a similar issue, in fact, I think I don't have a dominant eye at the moment.  I'm 44 and have always been right handed and right eye dominant.  As my eyes have been slowly getting worse with astigmatism the past few years, the vision in my right eye has become bad enough that I think I'm gradually shifting to left eye dominant.  My vision isn't bad enough that glasses are required yet but I may get some this Summer.  When I shoot I always close my left eye so the dominance thing hasn't really bothered me too much.

ETA:  When I do the dominance test I can pick either eye equally now.  2 or 3 years ago I would always pick right.

You might be on to something here as my vision is also pretty bad. Even at 25 yards I can rarely see the holes that I am putting in the target. At 50 or 100 yards forget it. I wear glasses, but my eyes are not correctable to 20/20. My sights always look kind of blurry. Fortunately, I can still shoot well. I can still keep all of my (pistol)  shots inside the 8 ring of the Army L at 25 yards. With my rifle and open sights, I can still keep them in the 9 or 10 ring at 100 yards on a standard target.

Nicholas Cage struggled with the same issue, but valiantly overcame this handicap to score the babe!

I have a kinda similar situation.  I'm mostly left eye dominant, but right handed.  I shoot a handgun and a rifle right handed, and use my right eye.  Sometimes with the pistol, I find that I'm turning my head a little and using my left eye.

I also recently got into archery.  I shoot a bow left handed.  It's just the way it always felt natural to me, and using my left eye also feels very natural.
