I am using Excel 2003 SP3 under Windows XP.

I am having a trouble that my formula's are not updating until I hit the save button. I'll do a summation and it won't change the number. I'll do a bunch of things and then save. Then I'll go back and it will have updated. I keep forgetting that I have it hit save every time I change something. It is driving me crazy.

Is there some parameter I need to set or reset to have the spreadsheet re-calc each time I make a change???????

It should just calculate after you enter the formula and then hit the Enter key.

check "Tools" -=> "Options" -=> "Calculations" and see if manual or automatic is selected.  Manual only updates on save or print (or <CTRL> <=>).

This would be my guess as well.

On some larger spreadsheets, with vlookups and dsums, I sometimes turn automatic off.
