Bobby wrote a song that will go down in history... "Route 66...!" |
| When I was a little kid in the 70's my Mom said I would drop whatever I was doing and sprint to the TV room when I would hear the alarm tones at the beginning of Emergency! She would purposely turn the TV to make sure I heard it. Mom knew even back then that I was going to end up either a cop or a fireman because she couldn't pull me away from Adam-12, SWAT or Emergency! reruns when I was a kid. Maybe those shows did have something to do with my career choice. |
That guy looks like he wants to kill the monkey |
I want an autograph on an EMERGENCY! picture... ...NOT a Battlestar Galactica picture!. I loved that show as a kid, and was surprised a few years ago when they re-aired all the episodes that it was DAMNED GOOD, unlike some other childhood shows that you watch and think, "I used to watch THIS shit? "
Yep. He was in the first episode where the Eastern Alliance shows up (right about where the show jumped the shark in a big way). This is not to be confused with the guy from Adam 12, who was one of the main characters in that abortion, "Galactica 1980". |

Dragnet Adam-12 Emergency Loved those shows. After the EMERGENCY show went off the air, Kevin Tighe/Roy DeSoto always seemed to play bad guys in shows/movies. Noooo ! not Roy ! Julie London was my first MILF fantasy lady. Here is a good fan site for EMERGENCY EDIT, KR20 surf the link I posted , it looks like they have the alarm tones. |

I watched that show every week. The Rookies was another favorite. www.retrojunk.com/details_tvshows/533-the-rookies/ ![]()

Watched it every week along with the wonderful world of Disney...Charley the Lonesome Cougar, Old Yeller, Where the Red Fern Grows, My Side of the Mountain (Best fucking movie period!)...You remember, shows that were good! Thank God for VHS and Library's. Now my children can watch a good show and not some teen fuckmeintheass bullshit airing on most networks today (end Old man rant here).

Absolutely loved it...my uncle was a fireman (paramedic for several years before being promoted to engineer) with L.A. County F.D. He kept his original helmet with the paramedic stickers on the sides...too cool. He gave me one of his Captains helmets when he retired but I really want that original MSA helmet!!!!! The coolest was when my department used the station 51 alarm tones for our own alarm tones on the new data terminals in our fire engines...I get to hear that sound every day at work and it takes me back to being a kid again! |
