Do you guys feel the same way waiting on the election results?  I feel I am standing right in the middle of elation/devastation.  It is not often I am standing between such polar opposites.  It will be one or the other for me, no middle ground.

If these 2 feelings are shared equally, your ignorance is providing a little bit of bliss today.

Agreed.  I *will* be devastated if Obama wins, but by no means *elated* if McCain does.  McCain has little going for him other than he is not Obama, and the GOP has so deserted me and my values that it's almost a bust.  I would have voted 3rd party, were this election not so important.

I feel like a condemned prisoner on the eve of his execution, with the only hope being a governor's phone call at the last minute.

The devestation is all but accepted, but "elation" would be incapable of defining what would follow the sheer suprise of victory.

I actually meant to imply that their chances of winning are by no means equal.

Obama is far and away mosy likely to win this thing.

Say hello to Presidential affirmative action.

I'd more say relief if McCain wins, but grim determination if Obama wins. I don't see him as a second Hitler like some people do, but I think it means a lot of difficult decisions will need to be made in the weeks and months ahead....

I will be RELIEVED if McCain wins. I will be fatalistic if he loses.

Who was that fartknocker who committed suicide after Bush won?  I remember seeing something about it here, and people laughed about it.

I'm starting to wonder who the first arfcommer Obama suicide will be.  It's pathetic.

This isn't the time to start writing the eulogy for America.  It's the time to say FUCK OBAMA and roll on.  America isn't done, not by a long shot.
