$275 new.  Is that a good deal for someone looking for an EOtech?

I own a 552, and I like everything except the battery life.  How is the N model for life and reliability?

Reliability on mine has been stellar.

Battery life is meh, but serviceable.  N cells are inexpensive.  A pair of energizers last me about 4 months or so with regular range trips.  My biggest gripe on the EOTech is it's bulk.  It's noticeably heavier than an Aimpoint.  But I don't have a bunch of other crap hung on my AR, so it's not a big deal.

I believe the N cell models are the least desirable, they contributed heavily to the bad rap Eotech gets for short battery life.

But if you know that going in, and you don't want to spend 350-400 for one of the other models, you may be happy.

I have one and like it ok. I think somebody could make a conversion battery holder for AA batteries.
