Any current EOD peoples on here, I have an academic question about legally reactivating a dewat RPG-7 and how the rockets are actually constructed and weighted.  I'm looking to see if reactivating one would be worth while and if it would be easy to make a legal rocket with a dummy warhead that was weighted correctly to allow flight.

I do not believe this would be worth while.

You would need to charge the rocket properly with a dual boost propellant charge (One for clearing the tube, and one for flight). This would mean a licence for manufacturing large rocket motors. IIRC, the tube must be registered as a DD.

What would be your purpose with this?

I was civilian EOD (Anchorage Police Dept).

Best to my knowledge, (unless things change) its not the launcher that restricted but the ammo.  If my memorary serves me right, anything ove 1/4 oz of explovise in the projectal is illegal.

BATFE would be the best place to ask that question.
But I firmly belive you will get screwed if you do.

One day the say it OK then change their minds and fuck ya

I would leave it as is and instead just get cut away schematics for the
info you want...
