Does anyone have any experience with their dog having a liver enzyme that is off?  My Rott had his yearly check up and blood work came back with an enzyme in his liver that is off.  The vet said that it could be problem like humans such as Lupus, or else it could be Cushings disease.  He wasn't too sure that it was Cushings disease, as he only had one enzyme that was off, he doesn't have any of the other symptoms associated with Cushings....he gave us 3 options:

1) Put him on a medication that would treat inflammation of the liver
2) Wait until next year and have it tested again
3) Liver biopsy, which would tell us exactly what is wrong.

Just hoping someone might have insight or suggestion on what we should do, or if their dog has had similar problems.
Thanks

Take your pup to an internal medicine doc at the University of Minn Veterinary School, they should be able to figure it out.  Or find an internal medicine doc closer to you if UM is too far.
