Just a little less than half as effective than your computer tower/ceiling fan blades for catching airborne pollutants.

ETA: Ironicly, even though they neither blow nor suck, they do.

I have the cheap $60 walmart one Ionic pro.

Pulls Cig tar out of the air great. It can be a PITA to get the tar off the blades tho.

But Real life use:
Off while sleeping = All stuffed up when I wake up.
On while sleeping = Not stuffed up when I wake up.

But that could just be the ozone the thing emits.

Yeah I have heard that also, but mine is always covered in dust and I clean it a lot, that is dust I do not breathe .

Probably just because it's eroded your bronchial tubes so that you could drive a truck down them.

That ozone is dangerous to your lungs and your eyes.

Here's how effective they are.

I went into a Sharper Image for Christmas shopping. They had at least a dozen of those things going. As best I could tell, they concentrate and amplify BO and pump it back out. That store was ranker than every other store I went into. No other store reeked of BO like Sharper Image.
