| Elzetta lights weren't so expensive? I mean, I remember when I joined Arfcom you could have an Elzetta and mount for right at $100... what has made these lights so expensive in 3 years time? There is no way manufacturing costs have went up this much? Is it simply demand? If so, it seems such a saturated market would have kept their prices lower. |

I remember candy cigarettes. That's about it. 7-11's selling model airplanes was cool too And those little balsa gliders for a quarter. If you were really flush, you could get the rubber band powered one. |

I remember glass soda bottles ... How we as kids would horde them when we found them. Then walk to tbe corner store (jiffy mart or handy way ) give them to the clerk...who then give us store credit or money. We would raid those big open top jugs of 1_5cent gum and candies. And yes a few times get those glders or a red hot sausage if we busted that magical .50 mark. I wonder what would happen if dumped 10 moldy glass ...or is plastic now bottles on the counter ![]() |

I remember stopping at a little mom and pop shop on the way to small game hunting and getting a pop, snicker bar, and 100 count .22 in the long rectangular plastic box for..............$2.
The pop was .60, candy bar .40, and the .22 was $1. And I'm only 41 years old. Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile |

Hell, I remember buying a pack of smokes for a buck and having a quarter left over in change to play Asteroids with.
My Dad tells me stories of going to the movies, seeing a newsreel, a couple cartoons, the main feature, AND buying more candy than he could eat for a DIME. TEN FUCKING CENTS. Personally, even though I've been hearing that story my whole life I have a tough time believing it. |

I remember when I didn't have to fear our government. You mean when the Feds were dosing people with LSD? Or letting people with diseases die untreated so they could study them? Or putting them into concentration camps because of their ethnicity? Or killing thousands by poisoning drinks? I think you remember a time you didn't realize you needed to fear your government. |

Really? I didn't think that was still done anywhere. I remember milk delivery back when I was a kid. I wish I had the box that they left the milk in. Quoted:

I remember when the milkman would actually deliver milk to our house in the morning Our milkman delivers once a week. Really? I didn't think that was still done anywhere. I remember milk delivery back when I was a kid. I wish I had the box that they left the milk in. The milkman deliver dairy back in the early 80s when I lived in Scotland. I used to grab a pint of whole milk (with the cream on top), shake it up and drink it on the way to work. We had one of those metal milk bins on the step where we would put our empties and he would replace them. Edit: Just like the milk bin in the pic above. |

| I remember collecting the inner rubber gasket from the tops of Sprite bottles. Collected enough to get me a Cox .049 powered Indy car. Had to spin the right rear to start it. By the time I would get it started it had so much fuel on the tire it mostly just sat there and did a massive burn out. Then it usually went lean and died. |
