Does anyone else have shitty HD picture? Everything just has a slight blur to it and things seem pixelated.

I've talked with Dish about it and all my settings are correct and they even sent me a new Hopper to see if that was the issue.

Here's the weird thing. I can stream Netflix through my Dish Hopper and it still looks like shit. But if I stream through my DVD player, it's perfect. They both use the wifi so they should be the same. Seems like something is wrong with the box.

Can't wait to get rid of them.

Ours is crystal clear.  Have you called them and had a tech come out to test your signal?

Ours looks great.

We watch Netflix through our Hopper or PS3. Picture quality is the same.

Does your TV do any auto-adjusting based on the HDMI port that's in use?

What brand is your TV?

How big is your TV?

How close are you to the TV?

Are you watching HD Channels?

What service did you switch from?

How long Have you had the service?

Are you watching HD Channels?

I don't have the Hopper, but there may be some settings that need adjusting?

Change your HDMI cable/port.

Do you have the hdmi connected directly to the tv or thru a reciever?

There may be an option to change or auto detect pic quality i.e. 480p, 1080i, etc in your TV and or on the reciver.

Log on to your online account add the protection plan, schedule service call, cancel after problem is fixed.

99.9% of the time its not the reciver, VERY DOUBTFUL in your case where you have been through two with same problem.

It's such shit quality compared to everything else I use on the TV. I understand it won't be BluRay quality but when comparing them it's night and day difference.

If you can, hook up an OTA antenna, even just rabbit ears and try and get a tv station over the air. The hd signal won't be compressed like dish. If the picture is better, the receiver is messed up. Also, try rebooting the dish receiver to see if that helps.

Sign up for their support plan.   It's 20 bucks a month or so.   Have them send a tech out to fix the issue.   Cancel the plan next month.

Also try checking you cables and make sure that the connections are dry and secure from the LMB all the way to your receiver.
