I posted a thread on here about 3 weeks ago, about my car getting wrecked. Someone on here posted something about dimunition of value. Can anyone expand upon this? Do I have to do it before I sign the papers on the repairs w/ my ins. company? Does my ins. company automatically issue it? Am I entitled to it no matter what? ETC.?

Diminution. The reduction in value of the vehicle as a result of the collision. Whether you are entitled to it or not likely depends on the terms of your policy.
