I'd have to say he's probably more of a libertarian kind of guy.
Never really cared much as long as he could make me laugh, though. |

Couldn't tell you, but the last time I watched him, he was absolutely viciously tearing the dems a new one. Laughed my butt off.

He is anything but PC. He seems to dislike people who are PC.
After listening to his comedy and watching Rescue Me (he was a cowriter of the show), I would have to say he is NOT liberal. |

I still have yet to see that show. I was in Worcester at school when his cousin was killed in the fire, that was a bad night. I hear awesome awesome things about the show, just never catch it. Maybe I'll just buy the DVD set and see if it's worth the money. |

I remember seeing him on a comedy show around the mid-80's and he was tearing into Ted Kennedy/Kennedy family. Denis was ripping on the ole Teddy boy about Chappaquiddick, it was farking hilarious. From that day on, I thought Denis Leary was cool in my book.

He was on a talk show around Christmas and went off about the importance of buying BB guns for all your kids so they'll learn how to handle a weapon safely.

He's not fooling me. Like all entertainers, there's the stage Denis and then there's the real life Denis. He's an angry/rant comic ala' George Carlyn but if he's Boston Irish, he's a died in the wool Dem.
FWIW, he's on the NRA/ILA list of celebrities who are gun control activists. That doesn't mean his act isn't funny but it does tell me that it's mostly just an act. |
