Good luck with that truck. I own a 04 and its been a mediocre truck at best.
Things to check for. 1. Oil seep at passenger side rear of where the head meets the block. Bad headgasket. I got mine repaired under warranty. 2. Funky startup when cold that seems like it misses but starts. Bad intake valve seats that require a new head. I am currently dealing with this. 3. Burnt up contacts for the blower motor on the resistor module 4. Gages and interior lights go out for no reason. Actually the reason is a poor ground. remove the ground cable from the battery to the body and use a dremel and a star washer to bit down on the metal. 5. Bad power window sitches. .Had mine replaced under warranty Good luck. |

Mine doesnt eat front tires but I did have a few electrical problems. The passlock system would let my truck start once for about 15 minutes. My truck only has 45K miles. It does kinda sputter at idle sometimes.....i think its the whole valve seats, I have to do a leakdown test on it soon. Good luck OP. |

If you try to hide the real amount paid, they might just figure it out for you, and not to your liking. FYI, most motor vehicle departments have detectives that would love to play this game with you. |

The sales tax game really only works on private purchases. Dealers don't want the trouble. If you would have bought it from me, you could've wrote your own bill of sale.
I don't have any of those and I'm not a dealer, but I don't give bills of sale when I sell stuff. I'm too lazy, you can write your own. |
| Whatever you paid is that much more then it's worth (Trucks value is $0.00, actually it may have a negative value now). Pay the bill, sitt on the truck until the end of the summer season, find a boat owner with a Ford or Toyota and trade it off for something 1000x better. |

Trucks are not that bad. I have a 06 colorado with a 2.8L. Got a new Head with new cams under warranty at 96K. Had a brake switch replaced under warranty.
Now my e-vap valve needs replaced. Easy to do but parts cost $100.00.
Other than that it has been great. Still running the orignal brake pads.
