Dnevoy Dozor. Seen it. First, though...if you haven't seen Night Watch, don't bother with Day Watch until you do. The film doesn't entire make sense when you have all the backstory, but when you don't....complete loss. Premise is very, very good, trailer is very very slick....and it's not a bad movie, but it doesn't live up to how the trailer portrays it. It's a much slower movie, and most of the characters aren't as badass as they're shown in that short clip. However, if you're a fan of foreign (especially Russian) cinema, give it a try. Even better....read the books. Which makes me wonder if they're going to do a Twilight Watch film.... |
Agree 100%...Watch the first if you have any hope of understanding what is going on; other wise, they are pretty slick movies. |
Wow.....not sure if I want to say "damn" or sigh with relief. Somehow I don't see Tarantino doing justice to the film. Too stylistically different..... |
