I need help. This all started out when I could not upload to photobucket. I sent them a message regarding such. They responded that I needed to update Adobe flash player and java. Adobe update went down without a hitch. Java is another story: I downloaded offline update tried to run it and got this:
ERROR, Java (TM) Installer, The installer could not proceed with the current Internet Connection settings. Please visit the following web site for more information. http://java.com/en/download/help. I proceed to the site and got 15 FAQ's of which are no help. I checked the installation pages and tried several other suggestions. I turned off firewall and antivirus programs, I uninstalled previous versions and plug ins. I tried the online download and just keep getting the same error page. This error is not included in the list of possible errors.  
I am trying to do this on a Dell PC running Windows XP SP3, Firefox, AGV antivirus and DSL. I don't know what internet connection setting is causing this Error. Any help is greatly appreciated. |
