I posted a excercise machine for FREE on Craigslist. I got 3 replies and each time I replied with my # and to call me. A couple of them asked for my address but I don't give that out easily.

None of them called. did asking them to call me scare them off???

If you're giving away an exercise machine, don't you sort of have to give them your address? Or are you delivering it.

All the for sale adds are people trying to offer your manly love, they will never actually sell that stuff.

just like ARFCOM has forums other then GD

CL has other places other then services > erotic ..

never seen em.. but folks say so..

i still dont give out my addy since "in calls" are cheaper

I bought a $4000 Snap-on roll cab packed with about $5000 worth of tools in it for $2500 off of craigslist. The guy needed money to get his truck back after the bank repo'ed it.

All I wanted was for them to call me so I could discuss when to pick it up and give them the address. All this work for something free. I may as well drag it to Goodwill.

Just set it out front with a free sign. Or if your neighbors would frown on that take it to a big parking lot at night and do the same thing.

I always post that I want a name and a local #. It works to weed out the scammers. BTW, don't give it away! Charge $25 and someone will pay you to haul it off.

ETA: Setting it out on the curb is the best way! It would be gone within minutes around here. It is understood around here that it is free if it is that close to the road!

I've moved about half of my "ebay" stuff to Craigslist. Ebay is seriously screwing the pooch.
