Fantastic food, just like eating in your back yard. Their shakes are a little too thick though. And Cheerwine on tap...

I prefer my chow that doesn't taste like it's coated in ancient grill goo with a side of Bible, thanks.  It's cheap.  Has that going for it.

Cherry flavored soda pop.  It gets to be a little much by the end of the bottle, but it's good.

No kidding.  How dare I expect something that tastes like it was cooked on a non-nasty charcoal grill from a place advertising backyard flavor.  Hell, next I might expect real beef.

They opened one up in J-Action-Ville before I left, and I miss not having one here in Idaho.

Oh well, Chick-Fil-A and Firehouse Subs made it this far put out west, so maybe Cook Out will too.

Never noticed the Bible versus either-good for them.

Crushing retort, old chap.  How I shall ever recover from such a vigorous thrashing by use of logic and fact I don't know.  If only I had known before I posted that my join date was what truly dictated the quality and flavor of food I received when I eat out.  If I only I had known that!  Woe is me.

When they first opened one here early last year, they literally had guys running traffic control to the parking lot.

Haven't had it here in town...had it down in NC. Damn good meal for what you pay. Reasonable prices and...better yet...reasonable portions.

LOL you're either dense or masquerading as someone who is.  How about the gratuitous comment about the Bible verse?  But of course the negative review was all about the food which is why it was important you slip that in there - amiright?.  GTFO.

The big question is though who is better - 5 Guys or this place.  I mean they are the BK and McD's of each other - no?  They even both come wrapped in tin foil.

Hard to say.

They must be exploding all over the place. We just got one here in NW Atlanta. Went there this week, in fact.

I liked it. It was cheap, tasty, and as mentioned before: Cheerwine.

It was way better than Five Guys and half the price. Plus, it's the only place I know of that you can get a corn dog with a side of corn dog.

Really? You thought cookout was good? I suffer greatly from having mediocre standards

1/10 wouldn't eat while wendy's, burger king, and arbies are within 10 miles.

You don't have mediocre standards--just really bizarre ones. Cookout here was way better than Wendy's or BK has ever been and cost less than the last time I ate at either too. I hardly ever eat at Arby's and it's a totally different thing, so I'm not even gonna comment on that one.

They're cheaper than Five Guys. I like CO's burger better. FG is a good burger though.

Comparing Cook Out to McD's or BK isn't fair.

No I agree.  I was saying 5G's is to CO as BK is to McD'd.  Think California Achievement Teat.

Cheeseburger with Ketchup and mustard, Corn dog, and fries with a large Coke.  beats anything McDonalds, and BK by a mile
