It seems that my laptop will no longer allow me to save pics as jpg's or anything else except bmp's. I'm running XP if it matters. Anybody know how to fix this? It's a real pain in the ass.

It's not the hardware, ie 'my laptop', it's the software. What software are you using to save images? Actually it doesn't much matter. A lightweight, easy to use program that will open/convert/save any image format is irfanview Funny name, great free software that works, and works well. Get it. Use it. Will most likely solve your problem. If you're interested, also look into file associations for .jpg files. Windows Explorer>Tooos>Folder Options>File Types - scroll down to jpg and see what you can find. -grommet |

Is it just right clicking and saving as or during an image search? I have it saving as a bitmap during an image search when I hit view image. Refreshing the page fixes it and lets me save as the original name and file type. If that's not it then +1 for Irfanview. |
