Connection is slow. Like, real slow.  Downloading at 14k modem slow.  

When I do a ping command to www.yahoo.com I get


bytes =32 time =38ms ttl=241

request timed out

bytes= 32 time = 37ms ttl =242

bytes= 32 time = 37ms ttl =242

I can't even ping arfcom.

I've run ad-aware, scanned with AVG, hell I've even turned my firewall off.  Ran HiJackThis! and came up with this

This is really driving me nuts.  Any suggestions?

Any other computers on the network?

It appears you are connecting wirelessly, have you tried power cycling the router and modem?

If not, unplug your router and modem, wait 1 minute.  Plug modem in first, wait for it to come FULLY online and be operational.  Then plug in router and wait for it to become fully operational.  Restart the computer.

If other computers are on the network, how is the performance of them?  Do they connect much faster?  If so, google "winsockfix" and download that and run it on the problematic computer.  It will reset all of your winsock entries and rebuild your TCP/IP stack.
