How come today when I went to the Drudge Report and AR-15 the page loaded up from 10-14-04?
I usually get some errors when loading up Drudge ( A "blah, blah, script errors, do you want to continue runnning script on this page?, AND a "404 not found" that comes up in the bottom right corner). Whats the deal. IE6 and wiN xp.

ETA: When I load AR15 Gen Discussion the first page needs to be refreshed and it goes to post from 2-3-05 but when I hit next page, it's all 10-14-04 post. Am I losing my mind..WTF......it's like groundhog day..........................really weird. Help.

Check your time and date on your computer. If your time and date are wrong, the site will not grant you a certificate.

A more sinister explanation is that you have some spyware installed that screws up your DNS (IP address -> name resolution) or SSL (web encryption) setting in IE.  I had this happen once.  You might want to download AdAware and Spybot S&D.

BTT.......................my browser opened AR15 GD to 2-8-5 so I refreshed to today (2-18-5). When I went to page two it was 2-8-5 again. When I went to the drudge report it went to 2-7-5.
Somebody's got to know why. have no spy or ad ware, a well running clean system. I know more than most about computers, but this has me stumped.

that is pretty strange.  I was gonna say from time to time it happens with drudge, but i dont know why it would do it for GD also.

It sound like you are set to work off line. When you go to the next page it will load it.

This makes sense.

Try this:

In IE, go to the "Tools" menu and select "Internet Options".  Under "Temporary Internet Files" click "Settings".  What is selected under "Check for newer versions of stored pages"?

You, my friend, are the man!!
I do not know how that got selected. That has been driving me frickin' insane.
I clicked on weather radar and hurried out to work in the yard before the rain came..it never did, but it sure did last week!

Both of those things work together. If you ever turn off your internet and press "work offline" you most visited sites will come up.
