Is there any book or manual that tells what programs are by the names that appear when you hit Control-Alt-Delete? I know we've discussed how many most of us have running, but I'd like to find out what they are so I know if I can/should do a "Find..........." and remove/delete them. I have new ones show up and sometimes I delete them, only to have them reappear the next day. ![]() Some, like Norton, are obvious, but most aren't. Any source for this info would be appreciated. |

Google something you are unfamiliar with. You will find it. This is a useful tool to find out what port is being used by the programs. here |

Start Menu Run type "msconfig" (without quotes) Go to the start-up tab This gives you a better idea of what's being started up with your computer. Some are more clear than others. Uncheck and reboot as necessary. That'll be $20 please. I can't help you with the exact descriptions of what's running but that's the best I can do. |
To clarify for my little pea-brain; Anything listed in "Top Security Risks" that I find on my PC should be deleted, right?
