I don't know where else to ask, so here I am.
I have an HP color Laserjet 2600n printer. It has begun to streak the paper with red and yellow. If you open the front, there is a plastic "conveyor belt" that is also streaked with red and yellow toner residue. How do I clean it/fix it/get it to stop? |

So, in the end this was the problem - when the cartridges run out of toner, they start to streak the paper. Perhaps it's a built in way of telling you it's time to change the cartridge.
I replaced the red and yellow cartridges and ran a "calibration". This cleaned everything of excess toner and it is riunning like a champ again, just like it always did before. The thing is, these toner cartridges are EXPENSIVE. they are expensive but the yield it 10X more of a inkjet and they print much cleaner and faster |
