[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Computer Help Please!!

When Im typing the curser on its own will move up to a line that I have already typed and start typing at that spot instead of the line I was typing in. Its driving me crazy. I keep having to go back and back space out everything I just typed because it jumped from the line I was typing in into a previously typed line. Is there a cure?

Is it on a laptop? If so, keep your thumbs up so they don't drag on the touchpad.

Your not talking about overtype are you? I had a hell of a time dealing with that

Yep over type. I dont think Im dragging my thimbs on the pad. Its maddening.

If it is indeed overtype, then all you must do is press Insert on your keyboard!

ETA- credit goes to MrsDarkstar. She was the one who origionaly told me how to correct that issue
