The missus (photo withheld because she is sick currently) is looking for a program to help inventory and keep track of our possessions for insurance purposes.  A spreadsheet shant do, and we've already tried the delicious library suite on mac.

Where else should we look?

Hate to revisit something you mentioned, but a camera phone and a spreadsheet are your best friends.

I keep a memory stick of photos and pictures of the sn/ model of all the items I have insured in a safety deposite box and one with my folks as well as my safe.

Hard to beat for ease of use and built in searching.
